Mental Health - Context

In order to prosper as a community our residents need emotional, psychological, and social well-being.

Mental health affects how people think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how people handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. We focus on mental health so that we all have the energy needed to thrive as individuals and to contribute to the collective success of Routt County.

In order to attend to the mental health of all Routt County residents, we track indicators for adults and for youth. Currently
20.9% of adults over 18 live with depression in Routt County, and 35.3% of students reported symptoms of depression in the past 12 months. We hope to reduce these numbers to XX% of adults and XX% of students by [year].
